The idea of Skysoft arise from our need to search for software to
use/recycle in our projects. We found the general software well supported
by the user community (see for instance freashmeat), while astronomical software is often hard
to find. With Skysoft we try to import the open
software support style to astronomy, in the hope to be useful to both
developers and users.
